Between Wednesday, June 25, and Tuesday, July 1, the Kirkland Police Department reported 279 traffic violations, 33 alarm calls, 29 noise complaints, 24 assaults (12 domestic violence), 22 car accidents, 19 thefts and 16 vehicle prowls. At least 51 people were arrested.
Thursday, June 26
12:26 p.m. Police arrested a 24-year-old Monroe man for narcotics violations after he was pulled over on the 700 block of 1st St. South.
Friday, June 27
1:03 a.m. Two security guards at the Tiki Joe’s Bar in downtown Kirkland punched a 31-year-old Everett man several times while he was on the ground, causing minor injuries. Police, noting the increase in excessive force incidents at the bar, cited all three men for disorderly conduct and cited a guard with obstruction.
Saturday, June 28
8:30 p.m. A 38-year-old woman was arrested for domestic violence assault on the 11900 block of 93rd Lane N.E. She was accused of scratching a man’s mouth during an argument.
Tuesday, July 1
10:43 p.m. Police arrested a 55-year-old man for assault at the Kirkland Transit Center after he reached up the skirt of a 17-year-old female and cupped her bottom with his hand.
