Between Wednesday, July 2, and Tuesday, July 8, the Kirkland Police Department reported 414 traffic violations, 26 car accidents, 20 noise complaints, 19 alarm calls, 17 fireworks violations, 16 vehicle prowls, 15 assaults (11 domestic violence) and 15 thefts. At least 66 people were arrested.
Wednesday, July 2
10:08 p.m. An allegedly drunk 40-year-old woman was speeding down 11400 block of N.E. 128th St. when her Acura collided with a Nissan pick-up truck and another vehicle. The truck rolled 75 feet until it came to a stop. The suspect was transported to Evergreen Hospital and the victim’s conditions were unreported.
Sunday, July 6
1:47 a.m. An adult man who urinated in public on the 200 block of 1st Street reportedly fell as he tried to evade police and possibly broke his leg. He was taken to Evergreen Hospital and cited for urinating in public and obstruction.
Monday, July 7
8:30 a.m. A resident of the 12000 block of 102nd Ct. N.E. was arrested for harassment after a series of confrontations with his neighbor.
7:00 p.m. Police arrested an adult male for shoplifting on the 12200 block of 120th Ave. N.E.
Tuesday, July 8
10:09 p.m. A resident of the 12700 block of N.E. 72nd St. reported possible destruction to the public restrooms in South Rose Hill Park.
