Between Wednesday, Oct. 22 and Tuesday, Oct. 28, the Kirkland Police Department reported 318 traffic violations, 21 car accidents, 21 alarm calls, 20 thefts, 19 vehicle prowls, 12 assaults and nine acts of vandalism. At least 52 people were arrested.

Wednesday, Oct. 22

THEFT: 4:42 p.m., 8600 block of 120th Avenue Northeast. A 56-year-old female resident was arrested for shoplifting after she was stopped by Costco security. She allegedly tried to take $44.11 worth of goods out of the store without paying.

Thursday, Oct. 23

DISTURBANCE: 4:55 a.m., First block of Lake Street. Police received complaints of loud music from a bar in the early morning hours. Officers reported hearing no evidence of a disturbance.

RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT: 3:14 p.m., 12300 block of 124th Street. Two Monroe residents driving en route to Evergreen Hospital alleged a 45-year old Monroe man they knew pointed a handgun at them. He then drove away.

Friday, Oct. 24

VANDALISM: 5:32 p.m., 13000 block of 116th Way Northeast. A female resident alleged her Mazda MPV was damaged for the second straight day. She said a windshield wiper was broken off and the right side of the vehicle was keyed, causing an estimated $1,580 in damages.

Saturday, Oct. 25

ASSAULT: 1:47 a.m., Intersection of Central Way and Lake Street. Police scattered a group of individuals involved in an ongoing assault. The officers rendered aid to the victim.

Sunday, Oct. 26

ANIMAL: 10:50 a.m., 10600 block of N.E. 123rd Street. A dog wandered on to several properties off-leash and reportedly frightening a resident.

ANIMAL: 6:00 p.m., 11200 block of N.E. 128th Street. A 25-year-old female resident reported being bit by a pit bull dog that was loose running around on the roadway.

Monday, Oct. 27

RUNAWAY: 10:52 a.m.,12200 block of 108th Court Northeast. A resident claimed her 14-year-old daughter had runaway from home and was staying with her aunt. Local authorities later referred the case to child protective services.
