Public buildings with air conditioning will be available for Kirkland residents seeking relief from the extremely hot weather taking place during the next few days. The National Weather Service has announced an excessive heat watch for today and tomorrow. Residents are encouraged to visit air conditioned places such as those listed below, a mall or movie theater, to check on relatives and neighbors, particularly those with health issues, and to never leave children or pets unattended in a vehicle, even with the windows rolled down.
