Q&A with Jay: Meet Kirkland Council candidate Jay Arnold on Saturday

Kirkland City Council candidate Jay Arnold will be having a “Q&A with Jay” event at the O.O. Denny Park picnic shelter on Saturday, June 29.

Kirkland City Council candidate Jay Arnold will be having a “Q&A with Jay” event at the O.O. Denny Park picnic shelter on Saturday, June 29.

Kirklanders are invited to drop by and chat with Arnold between 9-11 a.m. Arnold will serve breakfast.

The park is located at 12032 Holmes Point Dr NE, Kirkland.

Arnold is running for council Position 1, which is currently held by Mayor Joan McBride, who is not running for re-election. Arnold is serving in his second term as a Planning Commissioner, and is a former chair.

He previously co-chaired the successful YES! for Great Kirkland Parks campaign, which included permanent maintenance funding for O.O. Denny Park.

“This Saturday is an opportunity to meet Jay and talk to him about issues facing our city,” noted Scott Morris, who co-chaired the parks campaign with Arnold. “From work on the parks levy that helped save O.O. Denny Park to neighborhood planning, Jay has a strong track record of listening about people’s concerns and finding solutions.”
