Rep. Larry Springer (D-Kirkland) endorsed Jane Hague for re-election to the King County Council.
Springer represents the 45th Legislative District, which shares Kirkland and Redmond with King County Council District 6.
This is another key endorsement for Hague from across the aisle, demonstrating her broad bipartisan support.
Building on the endorsement of fellow Democrat Rep. Deb Eddy last week, Rep. Larry Springer says, “Jane Hague has a proven track record of getting results for the Eastside. Her leadership, dedication to the Eastside, and ability to work across the political divide has earned her the respect of the entire Eastside. It should earn her another term too.”
“I am honored to have the support of Rep. Larry Springer,” said Hague. “Working across the aisle is key to getting the best results for our citizens. That is why I have received endorsements from business and labor, Republicans and Democrats. People are tired of partisan bickering. I work hard to represent everyone, not just one political extreme over the other as my opponent does.”
Hague also received the endorsement of Redmond City Councilman Hank Margeson this week.
Hague has also earned the support of the majority of mayors and city council members throughout her district.
“The Eastside needs someone who understands their issues and will be a strong voice on the council,” said Hague. “That is why I have been endorsed by the majority of mayors and city councilmembers on the Eastside. They know I will work hard for them and represent their interests.”
