Commuters should expect traffic delays due to the Kirkland Classic Car Show on July 25 in Marina Park and July 26 in downtown Kirkland.

Limited access to the Lakeshore Plaza Parking Lot will begin at1 p.m. on Saturday. On Sunday, downtown road closures and detours will be in place from 5 a.m. until 6 p.m. The public boat launch will remain open, however boaters should expect delays.

Event goers are encouraged to walk, bike, or carpool, and plan for their parking in advance. For public parking, including the Kirkland Municipal Garage, go towww.kirklandwa.gov/parking. Kirkland Avenue from city dock to Main Street

Event organizers anticipate more than 13,000 car enthusiasts will attend the event which raises money for several local charities.
