Scholarships were awarded to three local students during a recent event at the Kirkland Woman’s Club.

They are awarded each year to three students of Lake Washington or Juanita High School who are deemed worthy. This year’s winners were Danielle Navarre from Lake Washington High School and Nancy Chang and Elizabeth Tran from Juanita High School.

Attending the event also were Gary Moed, principal, and councilors Paul Peretti, Inez Bergman and Mike Navalinski from Juanita and Julie Madson from Lake Washington.
