You are invited to share your thoughts with city of Kirkland staff at a public meeting starting at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 7 at Finn Hill Middle School.

Kirkland City Council candidates will be in attendance for a question and answer forum held later.

Kirkland Fire Chief Kevin Nalder will also provide an update on the new Finn Hill fire station location search.

The open house will be held in the school auditorium, at 8040 NE 132nd St., with discussion of the Juanita Drive corridor. City of Kirkland staff will share its recommendations and gather comments until 7 p.m. regarding proposed improvements for Juanita Drive.

A Finn Hill Neighborhood Alliance meeting will  begin at 7 p.m. with the fire department presentation. At 7:30 p.m., a one-hour candidate forum takes place with al Council candidates expected to be in attendance.

Five city council positions are on the November election ballot, with two of the seats being actively contested. The Alliance is soliciting questions from neighborhood residents for the candidates to address. Questions can be submitted via email to Matt Pruitt at matt@finnhillalliance.org.
