Springer, Gibbons advance in August general election

Incumbent Springer has 72.30% of votes for Legislative District 45 State Representative, Position 2.

Incumbent Larry Springer is set to face newcomer John P. Gibbons for Legislative District 45 State Representative, Pos. 2 in the general election, as of the official final election results on Aug. 16.

Incumbent Democrat Larry Springer has garnered 72.30% of votes, or about 28,373 votes, according to King County Election results.

Newcomer Gibbons, a Republican, secured 20.26% of the vote, or about 7,951 votes.

Opponent Amber Krabach, of the Election Integrity Party, trailed with 2,830 votes.

Write-ins made up 0.22% of the vote, totalling in 88.

So far, King County Elections has counted over 538,000 ballots. In Legislative District 45, voting turnout came out to just over 41.65% with 40,380 ballots counted of the 96,948 registered voters.

Primary election results are now certified as of Aug. 16. The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 8.
