The following is a release from the Washington State Department of Transportation:

Carpool drivers and bus riders headed from the Eastside towards Seattle this weekend will be diverted to alternate routes to reach westbound State Route 520 from 108th Avenue Northeast.

Construction crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation on the Eastside Transit and HOV Project will close the 108th Avenue Northeast direct-access on-ramp to the westbound SR 520 high occupancy vehicle lane from 11 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20 to noon Sunday, Feb. 22. The ramp closure is needed so crews can install highway drainage and replace a section of asphalt pavement.

A posted detour will direct carpool and bus drivers to enter westbound SR 520 at 108th Avenue Northeast and Bellevue Way.
