The following is a release from the Washington State Department of Transportation:

Drivers and bus riders on the Eastside should prepare for a weekend closure of all ramps of the State Route 520 interchange at 108th Avenue Northeast. The intersection of 108th Avenue Northeast and Northup Way also will be closed to traffic for the weekend.

Today to Monday, Aug. 4

  • From 11 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1 to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 4, all ramps, including the direct-access ramp for transit will be shut down. Buses will instead enter westbound SR 520 via the Bellevue Way on-ramp. The 92nd Avenue Northeast transit stop will remain open during the closure.
  • The 108th Avenue Northeast intersection with Northup Way will also be closed from 11 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
  • A signed detour will be in place to help drivers navigate around the closure.
  • Contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation on the Eastside Transit and HOV Project will use the closure to pave major portions of the intersection and roadway.
