Commuters should expect traffic delays due to the Kirkland Classic Car Show, which will be held Saturday, July 30, in Marina Park and Sunday, July 31, in downtown Kirkland.

Event organizers anticipate more than 12,000 car enthusiasts will attend the two-day event which raises money for the Kirkland Downtown Association.

Street closures and detours will be in place on Sunday from 5 a.m. until 6 p.m. The public boat launch will remain open, however boaters should expect delays.

The following street closures will be in effect on Sunday:

• Lake Street from Central Way to 2nd Avenue South

• Main Street from Central Way to Kirkland Avenue

• Kirkland Avenue from Main Street to city dock

• Park Lane from Lake Street to 3rd Street

• Lakeshore Plaza

• Lake and Central and Lakeshore Plaza Parking Lots
