For the first time ever in Kirkland, a crowd will gather starting at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow for the first Kirkland Street Scramble to benefit Kirkland Interfaith Transition in Housing.
The event, which will start and finish at Houghton Beach Park, will test the skills of amateur orienteering enthusiasts of all ages who will scour Kirkland on foot or bike for three hours, looking to find and record evidence that they were able to visit the most number of “checkpoints” on the map. Checkpoints are not disclosed until 30 minutes before start.
Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 21, or pre-registration is available online at www.Active.com.
