There will also be two free sails, one in the morning from 9 a.m. to noon and one in the evening from 6-8 p.m. Some individuals on these cruises will learn about basic navigation skills, and may even be asked to raise the sails or take the helm.

The free dockside tours and sails are made possible by the City of Kirkland.

The Lady Washington and Hawaiian Chieftain will also be moored at the Woodmark Hotel, Carillon Point, from Aug. 27 through Sept. 4. Tickets will be sold for several mock-battle cruises.
