Three Tesla STEM High School juniors won a third award in the Environmental and Engineering category at the International 2015 Intel Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in Pittsburgh, Penn.
Sonia Murthy, Ethan Perrin, and Sophia Tevosyan showed their project, “Implementation of a Carbon Dioxide Refrigeration System as a Cogeneration Appliance and Replacement For Halocarbon-Based Refrigeration Systems.”
The group also won a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) special award. The same group of students had previously won Runner-up Grand Champion at the Central Sound Regional Science and Engineering Fair in Bellevue, Wash.
