Voters have until 8 p.m. to return ballots to a drop box or accessible voting center. City of Kirkland and King County Elections officials have installed a new ballot return box at Kirkland City Hall.

King County Elections has received 223,629 ballots to date only about 18 percent of those sent for today’s primary election. The projected turnout for ballot returns is 37 percent.

Voters who are mailing ballots today need to affix a first class stamp and ensure that the mail will be postmarked today. Ballots arriving with a postmark later than election day, by law, will not be opened or counted.
