Two car collision on northbound I-405 leaves three injured, one in jail | Update

Three people were injured, including a Kirkland woman, on northbound 405 in Kirkland just south of the NE 116th St. exit on Sunday afternoon, according to the Washington State Patrol.

A 54-year-old man from Duvall was driving a pickup truck northbound on 405 when it struck another vehicle on the driver’s side. The truck then rolled over several times ejecting passenger Stacy Briseno, 45, of Kirkland, said Washington State Patrol spokesperson Kelley Kuehl.

The truck came to a rest in the brush on the right side of the freeway. The car that was struck came to rest on the left shoulder.

Briseno was transported to Harborview Medical Center. Her condition is unknown.

The man driving the truck was transported to Evergreen Hospital. Upon his release he was arrested and transported to the King County Jail, said Kuehl. The accident is being investigated as a possible DUI.

A 63-year-old man from Bellevue, who was riding in the car that was struck, was transported to Overlake Hospital.
