Lake Washington High School sophomore Ploy Hemrathiran was honored for the work entitled “My Imagination” for excellence in color pencil. Lake Washington High School senior Ban Ruo Yang was honored for the work entitled “Water, Life and Spirit” for excellence in watercolor.

Holly’s piece “Untitled” was also selected as the district staff choice. The district will purchase her artwork to be displayed in their gallery with previous Staff Choice award winners.

Lake Washington High School senior Claudia Gunhus will receive the Board of Director’s Award for her piece “The Beauty Within the Layers.” That means the district board will purchase her artwork to be displayed in their gallery with previous award winners.

All four students have been invited, along with their family, friends and art instructors to a reception at the Puget Sound ESD on March 19. All Regional High School Art Show award winners will be recognized on that date.
