Kirkland Police who found the body of retired Naval veteran 68-year-old David Creamer wrapped in plastic inside his motor home Thursday are treating the man’s death as suspicious.
The man’s son, Robert Creamer of Marysville, called police after he had not seen his father since earlier this year.
Conducting a welfare check, police found the man dead inside a motor home parked in his driveway in the 12800 block of 110th Ave. N.E., said Kirkland Police Lt. Mike Ursino.
“The body was found in his fifth wheel parked in his own driveway of his house that he owned with his wife and other relatives,” said Ursino, who would not comment on the other relative’s identities. “The body was there well over two months, we know that for sure – and it was wrapped in plastic.”
Neighbor Glenn Cunningham said Creamer had lived next to him at least 10 years and Cunningham believes the man lived there with his wife and her sister.
He also heard months ago that Creamer had passed away.
“It must’ve been February that I heard from one of the neighbors that David had passed away, but nobody thought much about it,” Cunningham said.
The case is being investigated as a suspicious death by the Kirkland Police Department, King County Prosecutor’s Office and the Washington State Patrol Crime Laboratory.
“We’re just trying to figure out why nobody reported his death and who knew about it,” Ursino said. “We don’t know if he was killed or died of natural causes. Those are all pieces we don’t have answers to yet.”
The Reporter will disclose the results of the autopsy when they are made available.
“Everybody’s angry,” said Creamer’s relative from Texas, who called the Reporter asking for details about the death and did not identify herself. “We’re all devastated.”
