Gretchen Harris is performing a benefit concert for Operation Spirit of Christmas. Operation Spirit of Christmas, based in Kirkland, is celebrating it’s 10th year of bringing Christmas to our military, with a renewed focus of serving their children.
Two performances will be held at 7 p.m., Saturday, July 21 and 2 p.m. Sunday, July 22 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 11920 N.E. 80th St., Kirkland. Admission will be $10 per person or one new unwrapped toy per person.
Harris, UCMVA’s “Female Vocalist of the Year,” is a Catholic singer/songwriter whose music expresses her love for God and church. Songs from her six CDs can be heard on Catholic and Christian radio stations in the United States and many other countries, in addition to the worldwide radio outreach of EWTN.
The latest addition to the catalog is “SING to the LORD,” a CD full of beautiful songs sung to God – gorgeous settings of well-known and deeply loved tunes that touch the soul and lift the heart, including “Prayer of St. Francis,” “You Are Near,” “Shepherd Me, O God,” and “Breathe.”
