Volunteers needed for Juanita Creek Project on Saturday

Community members, neighborhood, school, faith-based organizations and businesses are encouraged to help restore Juanita Creek in Juanita Beach Park by volunteering time to remove invasive plants and mulch around native plants.

Community members, neighborhood, school, faith-based organizations and businesses are encouraged to help restore Juanita Creek in Juanita Beach Park by volunteering time to remove invasive plants and mulch around native plants.

Volunteers are needed from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 8 at the park, located at 9703 N.E. Juanita Drive.

Tools and light refreshments will be provided.

Volunteers should dress for the weather and may want to bring gloves. To register as a volunteer, contact Betsy Adams, Kirkland Public Works, at 425-587-3858 or badams@kirklandwa.gov.
