All eligible King County voters will receive a ballot for the April 22 Special Election that will include a county-wide measure. Be sure you’re ready by updating your voter registration if you’ve changed your name or address. If you’re not yet registered to vote, now is a good time to do so.

The following voter registration deadlines apply to vote in the April 22 Special Election:

• Monday, March 24: Deadline to register to vote or update voter registration

information by mail or online

• Monday, April 14: Deadline for in-person registration for new Washington voters

To register to vote, you must be:

• A citizen of the United States;
• A legal resident of Washington State;
• At least 18 years old by Election Day;
• Not disqualified from voting due to a court order; and
• Not under Department of Corrections supervision for a Washington felony conviction.

Returning your ballot

Voters should return ballots as early as possible, but not later than election day, April 22. Voters returning ballots by mail need to affix first class postage. Ballots must be postmarked by April 22. Voters can return a ballot without postage at any of 10 drop boxes 24 hours/day starting April 3 until 8 p.m. on election day.
