Drivers on northbound Interstate 405 through Kirkland could see some delays as crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will close several lanes and ramps to shift lanes and re-stripe the roadway.
Beginning at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, crews will close two lanes of northbound I-405 near State Route 520. Three lanes will close from Northeast 70th Street to Northeast 124th Street. All lanes will reopen by noon on Sunday, May 12.
There will also be several ramp closures in the area Saturday night including:
·The Northeast 70th Street on-ramp to northbound I-405 from 8 p.m. until 8 a.m.
·The Northbound I-405 off-ramp to Northeast 85th Street from 11 p.m. until 10 a.m.
·The Northbound 85th Street on-ramp to northbound I-405 from 10 p.m. until 9 a.m.
Similar closures are likely to continue for the next several weekends, while crews create work zones for the Bellevue to Lynnwood Widening and Express Toll Lanes project. The work is weather dependent.
