The following is a release from the Washington State Department of Transportation:
Drivers planning to cross Lake Washington late tonight into Friday morning should prepare for a closure of the westbound lanes of State Route 520 from 92nd Avenue Northeast to Montlake Boulevard. Then, this weekend, crews will shut down all lanes and ramps of Bellevue Way between 103rd Avenue Northeast and Lake Washington Boulevard for a weekend long closure.
Thursday, Aug. 21 to Friday, Aug. 22
- From 11 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21 to 5 a.m. Friday, Aug. 22, all westbound lanes of SR 520 will close from 92nd Avenue Northeast to Montlake Boulevard.
- Drivers should use westbound Interstate 90 or another alternate route around Lake Washington.
- Crews will use the overnight closure to remove construction equipment as they put the finishing touches on the new West Connection Bridge.
