Geneva Hutchison

Geneva Hutchison, 94, passed away on May 28, 2014 surrounded by 3 generations of family. Geneva was born November 16, 1919 in Ellensburg, Washington where she spent her childhood years growing up on a farm with 9 brothers and sisters. She graduated from Central Washington University and spent 39 years as a teacher and school librarian, earning the Golden Acorn award.

Her loving husband of 55 years, Alastair Hutchison, preceded Geneva in death. They lived in Kirkland Washington where they raised their two daughters Margie and Judy. Geneva had many interests, which included gardening, hiking, traveling and especially caring for her family.

Geneva is survived by her daughter Margie and son-in-law, Mike, five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held at noon on June 14th at Rose Hill Presbyterian Church where she was an elder and life-long member. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bread for the World or Seattle Union Gospel Mission.
