Janey Burns of Kirkland Washington passed away on August 10th, 2024. Born in Seattle in 1945, Janey graduated from Western Washington University in 1967 where she got her degree in Teaching. She then taught for the Bellevue School District for over 30 years. Teaching was her passion, and she dedicated her life to the children she taught. Janey loved to spend time with friends, playing tennis, traveling on cruises to the Caribbean, but most of all she loved to laugh.

Janey is survived by her sisters Susan Knaack (Jeff Leucht) of Hilo, HI and Tricia Knaack (Richard Blocker) of Folsom, LA and her nieces, Emily and Megan Leucht of Hilo, HI.
