JoMae Woods

JoMae Woods, age 85, of Kirkland, Washington passed away on May 13, 2010. JoMae was born December 7, 1924 in Casper, Wyoming to Joseph and Mae Baugh. Raised in Forsyth, Montana, she attended Forsyth High School in Rosebud County and Montana State University. On December 7, 1944 she enlisted in the Coastguard (SPARS) and served until 1946. JoMae met and married William C. Woods of Jordan, Montana in 1947. They moved to Seattle in 1951 then to Kirkland in 1955. Bill opened Lakeshore Pharmacy in 1962 where JoMae worked by his side for 30 years. JoMae is preceded in death by her brother, Don Baugh and her son and daughter-in-law Thomas J. Woods and Hilda Woods. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Bill Woods, her daughter and son-in-law Kim and David Nakanishi, five granddaughters and two great-granddaughters. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kirkland Performance Center, 350 Kirkland Avenue.
