Kjell Sporseen
Kjell Sporseen died at the age of 32 on November 30, 2014 following a speed-flying accident at Doug’s Beach State Park on the Columbia River in Washington. He was surrounded by friends and loved ones at the site of the accident.
He is survived by his parents, Greg and Carol Sporseen, and his elder siblings, Aaron, Elke and Petra.
Kjell was an Army veteran, achieving the rank of Captain, with one combat tour in Iraq. He graduated from Juanita High School in 2001, and Ripon College in 2005, with degrees in Mathematics and Physics. He also studied Renewable Energy Technology at Columbia Gorge Community College, going on to work at CloudcapTechnology in Hood River, Oregon.
There will be a Celebration of Life in his honor at 11:00 am on December 20th at the Brightwater Center in Woodinville.
