Margaret Eloise Pierce, long-time resident of Kirkland and member of Rose Hill Presbyterian Church, passed away on her birthday Dec. 4 at the age of 86.

Gardening, cooking and quilting were her passions, and family, friends and church activities as well. Eight great grandchildren, nine grandchildren and three boys and their wives will greatly miss “grandma Ellie” but know she is now pain-free, worry-free and at peace with beloved sister Marie Mack and other family and numerous friends, including those who knew her at Overlake Hospital where she worked 41 years. Services were held at Sunset Hills Funeral home.
