Sharon (Humphreys) Moscato
9/12/41 – 7/13/16
Sharon Moscato left us on July 13, 2016, in Corona, CA, after a courageous battle with undetected cancer. She passed peacefully with family at her side. She was 74.
Early on, Sharon lived in Las Vegas. She moved to Kelso in 1957 and graduated from Kelso High in 1959. Shortly after, she moved back to Las Vegas and became a dancer at the Sands Hotel, where she performed with Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and other top entertainers of the era. In 1963 she returned to the Northwest and married Kenny Gollings of Longview. They raised their family in Kirkland and later divorced.
Sharon again moved to Las Vegas where she married James Moscato and served as Executive Secretary for the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels. The couple later also divorced and she returned to Kirkland where she found great joy in her backyard garden with all its birds & critters.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Vauna Carrington, formerly of Las Vegas; her father, Cowlitz County Deputy Sheriff Roy Humphreys, formerly of Kelso; and a special friend, Paul Hawkes, formerly of Seattle.
She is survived by a half brother, Jerry Foree of Bellevue; a daughter, Gia Marie White of Bellevue; a son, Barry Gollings (Rajni) of Corona; and two grandchildren, Dillon Gollings and Jai Marie Gollings, all of Corona.
Sharon’s strength, engaging personality and outrageous sense of humor touched many lives. She was a loving Mama, doting Grammie and dear friend. She will be remembered for her defining characteristic, and gift to all with whom she came in contact, her laugh.
