The holiday season is in full swing in Kirkland with decorations and lights everywhere. To add to the holiday spirit, come have some fun when local girl scouts join in to the festivities at the Kiwanis Club of Kirkland tree lot on Sunday. They will decorate a Christmas tree with ornaments they have made at 4:30 p.m. and begin caroling at 5 p.m. The girls were a big hit last year and this year’s group will be bigger and better than ever, with several troops participating.

The tree lot is located at Juanita Beach Park. Everyone is invited, whether you buy a tree or not. Come out and support your local girl scouts.

Tree lot hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. All proceeds go to assist programs for children in our community.
