The Reporter recently published a letter from Eric Rohrbach ridiculing Roger Goodman’s support from a mayor or deputy mayor of every town in our district. He called it “politicians endorsing politicians”.
Mr. Rohrback should look at Valderrama’s web site if he wants to see a hyper-partisan example of “Politicians endorsing politicians”. Valderrama proudly advertises Republican politicians from all over the place endorsing him. Republican state representatives and senators from districts scattered around the state, Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill Bryant, and even the Republican governor of New Mexico (I wonder how hard he worked to get that endorsement or if anybody in our district cares that this distant Republican politician has endorsed him). There’s a reason all the mayors support Goodman. He gets the job done for the people of the 45th District. If you want to see a representative that works across the aisle instead of lining up a partisan block of supporters, check out Roger Goodman’s web site and his supporters from across the political spectrum: Boeing Corporation and the Machinists (Aerospace Machinists 751). Seattle-King County Realtors and the Sierra Club. Law enforcement: State Troopers, Fraternal Order of Police, and WACOPS (Washington Council of Police and Sheriffs). Firefighters across the district and nearby: Kirkland, Redmond, Woodinville, Bothell, Bellevue; and Washington Fire Chiefs. Children’s Campaign Fund, teachers, nurses… the list goes on and on. Goodman earns those endorsements by his hard work that affects real people. Vote for Goodman, not a candidate that can do no better than line up a partisan block of Republican support.
