I carefully reviewed the details of the Sound Transit proposal prior to voting yes, although I’m older and not likely to see the system fully in place.

We either begin now and pay or wait and pay more later as public transportation is the only sane solution to our escalating traffic issues. It is hard to understand some people’s continued resistance to supporting quality public transportation.

Anyone who has ever spent time in almost any European city and made use of their high quality, efficient public transportation knows it is a sane way to move large numbers of people safely while providing cleaner air and more open walking spaces.

Those bellyaching obstructionist, continually complaining about costs are only delaying the inevitable and adding to the costs we all will pay in one form or another.
