I’ve lived in Kirkland for 14 years. I think it is a wonderful community to live and raise my family.
I believe the Kirkland City Council is doing their best to balance the needs of the citizens, the businesses, and the environment. Our transition from a low population density semi-rural suburb to a high population density nearly urban area has been driven not by socialist policy but by capitalist success. Along with this transition come growing pains. The Council faces many challenges to make it livable for all. No easy task and I appreciate their efforts.
As for the recent turnovers of City positions… I know there are always two sides to every story. People leave jobs for personal (and personality) reasons. We all have. I wish them well as they seek a better match elsewhere.
