Outback Steakhouse feeds the needy | Letter

In December, Outback Steakhouse partnered with St. Brendan Catholic Church’s SOS program volunteers in feeding those in need. St. Brendan’s SOS (Serving Our Savior) outreach consists of 100 volunteers gleaning from local grocers, purchasing additional groceries for shelters in Seattle and making a Thursday meal for 150, served at St. Brendan and to be distributed to youth shelters in Kirkland and Redmond, Campy Unity Eastside.

On Dec. 19, Lisa Trischetti, proprietor of the Canyon Park Outback Steakhouse, contacted the parish office offering to donate meals to help those in need. It was decided they would prepare the meal for Dec. 29. On that evening, Lisa and two Outback employees arrived to distribute food consisting of BBQ ribs, chicken, pork chops, salad, mash potatoes and rolls, feeding 200 people.

Thank you, Lisa, for your generous gift to serve those who struggle from day to day to put food on the table.
