Dear Editor,
I agree that it is beneficial to support our local businesses as much as possible, but as residents of unincorporated King County with a Kirkland address, where should we “spend our money locally” as Susan Burnash suggested in her article?
She states that many local Kirkland business owners are involved in the community and engaged in public policy. If that is correct, then these same business owners have made it clear that they do not want areas like upper Juanita, Totem Lake, and Finn Hill annexed into the city of Kirkland.
Why should we feel compelled to spend our money where we are not wanted?
