Whatever comes to mind | New Club K Town offers dancing and more for all ages

This week I decided to check out the new all ages “Club K Town” on the waterfront by the marina in downtown Kirkland. I got there around 10 with some of my close friends and after waiting in line with at least 75 other teenagers for about 10 minutes, a security guard escorted all my girlfriends and me to the front of the line.

Apparently they let all the girls in first and then started letting the guys in, which I found a bit odd. The way we entered the club it was like the girls were being put on display. We were put through a security check and paid only $10 rather than $15 because we were girls.

As we first walked in, there’s a bar with a variety of non-alcoholic drinks available. I noticed how well decorated the venue was, classy and chic, with large couches and high tables scattered about. The blaring bass also immediately grabbed my attention as it vibrated my ear drums.

The dancing is what you would expect at a high school dance, but a little too graphic if you ask me. A real plus was to meet people from all different schools, from as far away as Eastlake and Puyallup. However, I left early because it wasn’t really my scene, but if you like school dances you’ll love Club K Town.

It’s hosting events every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday night throughout the summer. And for only $10 or $15 you may as well check it out!
