Ballgames don’t start until mid-March, but registration has already opened for both Kirkland Little League organizations.
For Kirkland National Little League, which covers the north side of Kirkland, the deadline for upper divisions closes Feb. 3.
Both leagues offer t-ball, baseball and softball.
Kirkland National softball evaluation for upper divisions — Coast, Majors, Juniors — are Jan. 29 and Feb. 4. Baseball evaluation for upper divisions, age 10 and above, are Feb. 12 and 18.
Practices begin March 1 and games begin March 19.
Kirkland American evaluations begin in late February. The opening-day celebration is in mid-March with games for ages nine and above beginning in late March. Games for kids ages eight and below begin after the Lake Washington School District spring break.
The regular season ends in June for all leagues, with All-Star teams competing in tournaments from mid-June to July.
