Several members of Lake Washington and Juanita high school spring sports teams were named to the all league KingCo teams this spring.
In boys soccer from Lake Washington, Taylor Berg and Justin Manao were named to the first team. Andrea Verduzco, Jordan Cox and Merlin Granados were named to the second team for the Kangs, while Juanita’s Nick Horne was also named to the second team.
Earning honorable mentions from Juanita were: Noah Bochner, Jonathon Ellis, Dylan Marshall and Ryan Morissey. Corneliu Capusan, Stevie Cox, Jason Curlanis and Adam Krebs earned honorable mentions for Lake Washington.
In softball, Allison Rhodes from Juanita was named the league’s most valuable player, while coach Kristian Dahl was the coach of the year.
On on the first team Juanita had Rhodes, Cami Petengill, Lexi Faist and Rachel O’Niell. On the second team Katie Kent, and Lake Washington’s Savannah Brady were honored. Earning honorable mentions for Juanita was Aliah Sweere and Emilee Ronbeck from Lake Washington.
In KingCo baseball, Kang’s captain Bob Cruikshank was named to the first team, while Zach Johnson and Nick Johnson earned second team honors. Teammates Theo Alexander, Spencer Jackson, Chris Moore and Steve Semler were given honorable mentions. From Juanita, Sean Barlow, J.J. Cladwell, Chris Foss and Mitch Gebe earned honorable mentions.
