Officially opened under the management of WAVE Aquatics, the Juanita High School Pool, now Juanita Aquatic Center, announces its Fall schedule. Activities at the pool consist of WAVE Aquatic Age Group swim practices and meets, local Lake Washington and Northshore High School practices and meets, as well as community programs.
Wave Swim School lessons are offered to the community at $60 per month. Lessons are Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays from 5:30 – 8.p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30-7 p.m.; and Saturday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Registration will begin Oct. 19.
Water Aerobics is offered Tuesday and Thursday from 7–8 p.m. Admission is $6. Classes will also be offered on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8-9 a.m. by Aquarobics Inc. Morning classes will begin Oct. 19.
Open public swim times are 8–9 p.m. on Wednesdays and 1–3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. A family swim time is also available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:30 a.m. to noon Lap swim times are 6:30–8 a.m. and 12-1 p.m. Monday through Friday; and Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8–9 p.m.
A new program at the pool is a Masters Swim Team. The Lake Washington Masters team will offer practices Monday through Friday from 6:30–7:30 a.m. and 12–1 p.m. Participants will be required to obtain a United States Masters Swimming registration prior to competing in local and national swim meets. The fee for the team will be $75 per month.
Juanita Aquatic Center is also pleased to offer rentals for private parties and events at $110 per hour for 1-30 people, $160 per hour for 31-60 people, and $200 per hour for 61-90 people. Rentals must be scheduled in advance with the Juanita Aquatic Center staff.
The price for open swim, family swim, and lap swim is $4 per swimmer ages four and up. Admission is free for children under 4 years old.
