The Lake Washington girls basketball team lost to Roosevelt Wednesday 59-34 and fell to third in the Crown Division and below .500.
The Kangs began the game slow, scoring just four points during the second quarter and was down 21-13 by half time. But that slow start was nothing compared to a third quarter where the team was outscored 21-7. Lake Washington was led by Sam Brender, who scored 10 points. The Roughriders’ Carherine Killian led all scorers with 23 points.
With the loss Lake Washington fell to 7-8, breaking their tie with Roosevelt, who is now at 8-7.
