The Lake Washington High School boys basketball team used a big first half to run away from Sammamish, 83-56, on Friday in Bellevue.

The Kangs jumped out to a 19-9 first-quarter lead and then extended it to 42-17 by halftime.

Sahil Basra led Lake Washington with 28 points while Abi Kameric finished with 16 points.

Lake Washington will play next at 8 p.m. on Dec. 17, as they host Bellevue.
