Dexter Mell proved to be the difference for the Juanita High School baseball team, as the Rebels knocked off Bellevue 5-4 in nine innings on Wednesday in Bellevue.
Juanita trailed Bellevue 4-2 to start the seventh inning, but scored on a pair of sacrifice grounders — one from Jayson Schroeder and one from Mell — to tie the game.
Mell hit an RBI single in the top of the ninth inning, scoring JD Worchester for the go-ahead run.
Mell finished with three RBIs. Schroeder had two RBIs, and stepped in to pitch the final three innings and had four strikeouts and no runs.
