On Friday, May 6, the junior delivered a 1-hitter for the Kangs in a 20-0 KingCo win over Liberty.

On Monday, May 9, Bivens struck out 13 batters in five innings as the Lake Washington High softball team blasted Interlake 12-0 to close out the KingCo 3A regular season.

The Kangs (17-3 overall, 17-1) won their last three games to win the league’s No. 1 seed in the upcoming tournament at Woodinville High School.

Lake Washinton garnered its eighth shutout of the year. Bivens allowed one hit and one walk, also hitting a pair of triples and finishing with two RBIs.

Jamie Pippin went 2-3 with a home run and two RBIs.

Next, the Kangs are scheduled to play Interlake in the first round of the KingCo 3A tournament at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 12 at Woodinville High School.

The top three teams advance to the Sea-King District tournament.
