Dunlap throws complete game for Lake Washington baseball

Lake Washington’s Trevor Dunlap improved to 4-2 on the season with a complete game against Ballard, 7-1. Dunlap struck out three, walked three and scattered eight hits during the outing. Despite the great performance and margin of victory, the Beavers held a slim 1-0 lead heading into the bottom of the fourth. But the Kang bats began pounding the ball during the bottom of the fourth, tying the game at 1-1 and then taking a 5-1 lead during the fifth inning. Lake Washington tacked on two more runs during the sixth to cap the scoring. At the plate, a two-run single by Colin Tremblay was one of the big blows, while Bob Cruikshank, Wesley Russell and Nori Shimizu, who also had two RBI, each went 2-for-3. Russell and Theo Alexander combined for five stolen bases during the game. The win gives Lake Washington a 5-7 record in-league play and ties them with Ballard for second to last in the division. The win also gives the Kangs a 7-7 record overall.
