The Northwest University Eagles rebounded from a first set loss to take the next three sets for a 3-1 (24-26, 25-14, 25-7, 25-16) conference win over the Evergreen State College on Tuesday to improve to 8-3 overall and 4-1 in league play.
Amanda Waterman led the way for Northwest U with a double-double with 11 kills and 11 digs.
In addition to Waterman’s double-double, Mattie Jo Johnson added nine kills, hitting .389 and had an impressive career high 10 blocks, part of a team total of 18 for the night. Morgan Pilon, who hails from Olympia, had a match high 35 assists while teammate Emmaline Stockton had a match high 18 digs.
The Evergreen State College (2-8, 2-3) was led by Natalie Taylor’s and Jordan Porter’s 12 kills. Kelsey Delagrange added 30 assists and 12 digs for a double-double. ESC was held to a .007 team hitting percentage.
