The Elite Diamonds girls fastpitch 12U team, featuring Kirkland resident MacKenzie Burke, had a great weekend competing in the USSSA State Tournament held at Dacca Park in Fife. The team went undefeated 5-0 with four shutouts and only allowing six runs against them the entire weekend. The combined score for all the games was 61-6.

The Diamonds won the championship game against Forks Spartans 8-0.

The team has had a very successful season thus far with three tournament wins and two second place finishes.

The Elite Diamonds are based out of Rijo Athletics in Woodinville will be playing in the ASA Sea-Tac Metros next weekend, followed by NSA state in the Tri Cities at the end of the month, and the NSA Western World Series in July, held this year in Snohomish County.
