The Juanita girls tennis team crushed Mount Si Monday with a 6-1 victory.
Maria Jouravleva of Juanita beat Shelby Thomas in straight sets, 6-0, 6-3, during the No. 1 singles match. Sara Salmonsen built on the momentum with a 7-6, 3-6, 6-3 win over the Wildcats’ Kaitlyn Vsselman. At No. 4 singles, Rebel Devin Clawson beat Bailey Barnard, 6-2, 6-1.
Juanita swept the doubles play as Molly Ichikawa and Shelby Hill beat Michelle Whims and Natalie Knoetgen during the No. 1 match 6-3, 6-4. At No. 2, Ashley Manzoni and Anna Ludvigsen beat Giannai Lombardo and Lindsay Masters, 6-0, 6-4, while Alanda Hilborn-Lucy Weber beat Trina Eck-Rachael Swamy, 6-0, 6-1, to round out the scoring.
The Rebels will play today at 3:45 p.m. at Mercer Island.
