With a dominating win over Chief Sealth on Wednesday afternoon, the Juanita softball team marched into the district semifinals.
The Rebels, who won the KingCo title, earning a bye through the first round of districts, beat the Seahakws 15-0 at Lower Woodland Park Wednesday. The win earned the team a spot in the semi final matches at the district tournament. Juanita will face Bainbridge Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m.
The winner will move into the district championship game, also Thursday against the winner of the Mount Si vs. Holy Names game.
A loss in the semi finals would move the Rebels into the consolation bracket, playing for third or fourth place. Either way the team will move on to the state tournament next week.
The state tournament will begin March 27 at the Regional Athletic Complex in Lacey, Wash. Tournament seeding will be determined after districts.
